Amy is a Positive Reinforcement Dog Trainer, a Veterinary Nurse and a dedicated animal advocate.
Since 2019 Amy has been a proud member of the wonderful Vaucluse Vet team where she has trained dogs of all breeds and sizes. Amy uses positive reinforcement techniques to build strong bonds and teach dogs new behaviours in a kind and gentle way.
Amy is passionate about helping dogs to reach their full potential and works tirelessly to ensure that every dog receives the best possible care and attention.
Growing up in rural Yorkshire England, she was surrounded by dogs, cats, goats, chickens and ponies. Home was a sanctuary for injured wildlife and foster animals in need of care. Amy has worked in both Equine and Small Animal Veterinary Nursing for over 28 years across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Sydney.
"Training dogs and their family is profoundly rewarding, it gives me so much joy! My love of dogs has been life-long, teaching puppy school is a dream come true. Training with the Delta Institute, gave me the skills to make the dream into reality."
At home, she has a dog-loving husband, twin human-boys and three of the worlds best dog-kids (when they're not stealing food!) Oliver the Cavoodle, Buffy the Boxer-cross and Rosie the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Classes are held at Vaucluse Vet,
46 New South Head Road Vaucluse.
WEEKLY sessions over FOUR weeks.
6-7pm WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY evenings.
You will receive tons of useful information, plus a graduation pack full of useful goodies.
You will learn foundation life skills to help your puppy thrive:
Classes conclude each week with structured puppy playtime, this is helpful to form a positive association within the Vaucluse vet clinic.
Groups are small (maximum of 4) with similar aged pups for optimal learning and a positive experience.
Classes are open to healthy puppies aged 8-16 weeks with a minimum of at least ONE vaccination.
Training should be enjoyable for both dogs and their people, lets have some fun!

Early socialisation and training, from birth to 16 weeks of age, is crucial for a dog's optimal development.
This is the most important period. The work that we do now will set the foundations for the rest of your dog's life.
